Internally, we have worked directly with executives on multiple projects while adapting to a variety of structural changes, including new ownership and management, purchases and sales of major company assets, and bankruptcy. ALAN BLOCK
Alan brings over 25 years of entertainment industry experience to Back House, having assumed various roles in both production accounting and business & legal affairs.
Alan most recently served as Vice President, Business Affairs for Sonar Entertainment, responsible for overseeing and managing many areas, including but not limited to rights management, corporate governance, intellectual property, risk management, music publishing, and contract compliance for a library of over 1,000 titles. Alan also prepared, reviewed, and approved all documentation necessary for delivery of all company productions, including DVD packaging, copyright, billing block, paid ads, and credits. In addition, Alan has managed the process of completing documentation for significant corporate transactions, including but not limited to financings, initial public offerings, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and the purchase and sale of company assets. Prior to Sonar, Alan held various positions at Hallmark Entertainment and RHI Entertainment.
Alan also has experience outside the entertainment industry, recently serving as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs and Secretary of Natural Markets Food Group, where he was in charge of all business and legal matters for over 20 grocery store locations in both the United States and Canada.
Alan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University.
MICHAEL FULMINO
Michael has over 14 years of extensive residuals experience with industry leading Entertainment Companies, involving all types of content including made for television movies, episodic series and theatrical productions.
Most recently, Michael was Director of Residuals, Royalties and Participations at Sonar Entertainment, where he managed the day to day operations in these areas, encompassing a library of over 1,000 titles. Responsibilities included but were not limited to residuals and participation statement preparation, royalty management and compliance, contract analysis, cash flow management, film projections, estimates & accruals, handling audits, and development of internal control, processes and procedures. Prior to this, Michael was Manager of Residuals at New Line Cinema, where he also performed many of these functions.
Michael is also a NY Certified Public Accountant with a BS & Masters in Accounting from St. John’s University.
